I got the final word yesterday about the "brain pain". I have been put out of work and on disability, the swollen artery in my head has not become an anurism yet. The doc said that with meds and plenty of rest, hopefully I can keep it from turning into an anurism. He said if I keep going like I am, he gives me a year. He threatened to pull my cdl license if I fought him on the disability and then I would have no choice. I'll give it a try and see what happens. Of course, I have to see him weekly and get tested bi-weekly to monitor the swollen artery. He said it was probably there before, but the stress and fatigue that I have been under could have really acted it up. I can't believe how stress can physically hinder a person, even be fatal. Well, I'll try it and see what comes of the treatment. Without treatment, it will turn into an anurism and I will surely die. I'm not out of the woods yet, but it still isn't too late. I was out visiting blogs and saw one of your posts and decided to drop by with a bit of Light. LWM has been a friend of mine for a few years. I can certainly appreciate how much your condition must have affected you. Although hardly as extreme as yours, I was in a house fire almost 6 years In short, I had to leave my job, lost everything I owned and then my own doc informed me I would be disabled for the rest of my life. But damn if it didn't open some incredible doors to learning. I sincerely hope that your condition does improve and that you can find some peace in your situation. Take care. Nick

Mike, So glad to hear your brain pain can be controlled. I have a cousin who has lived with this same type of thing all her life, she is 30 now and doing well, controlling it with meds and living a very full life. Dark Scriptor is correct, this "problem" could easily open doors to places you never dreamed of, you may find yourself in touch with many abilities and new gifts. So just hang in there my friend, you might find yourself talking easily to you dear wife and her speaking back, all the while living here with the kids. You know several years ago I lost my uncle very suddenly to an anurism and I spent a lot of time thinking "If he'd only gone to the doctor" because he had known for some time something was wrong. It can cause heart attacks and all kinds of diseases if it isn't controlled; it's critical to your physical well-being that you try to keep your stress levels low at all times so as not to cause that artery to swell - which it will do if your blood pressure goes up because of stress...
